Identify the exact product first, then the business selling it, then compare price per vial with delivery included. The Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply to a vial bought online in Australia just as they do to anything else.
Start with the exact product
Bacteriostatic water, sterile water and bacteriostatic saline are sold in similar vials, and an online listing can be vaguer than a label. Before comparing prices, confirm the product name, the brand, the volume of each vial, the preservative content and the intended-use wording. A listing that cannot tell you those five things is not describing a product you can compare.
Decide, too, whether you want an own-label product or a manufacturer presentation. AUBACWATER's own-label vials are supplied for laboratory use and are not for injection, infusion or administration; the Hospira 30 mL vial is a separately labelled manufacturer product. The two are listed separately for that reason.
What to check about the supplier
A supplier you can identify is a supplier you can hold to a guarantee. These are the things to look for on any Australian store, and where to find them on this one.
- A named legal entity with a registered identifier. This site is operated by AUH2O Pty Ltd, ACN 703 768 192, trading as AUBACWATER; the entity appears in the footer and on the terms and privacy pages.
- Prices shown per pack with the pack quantity stated, so that a price for five vials is not mistaken for a price for one.
- Delivery charges and the order total shown before payment, not after.
- A published returns policy and a plain statement of your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
- A working contact route and an acknowledgement when you use it; our form returns a reference number for each enquiry.
- Confirmation that what arrives carries the label, lot and expiry you expect, rather than a website image.
Compare price per vial, not just pack price
Multipacks lower the price per vial and raise the total. Divide each pack price by the number of vials before comparing stores, and compare the same vial volume. A larger vial is not cheaper simply because its pack price is higher; a 30 mL vial holds three times the volume of a 10 mL vial but remains one container.
Every product page here shows the price per vial for the selected pack and a comparison table across sizes. The pack-sizes guide lists all fifteen own-label packs on one page.
Delivery across Australia
We deliver within Australia only, to every state and territory, with two tracked services. The charge is calculated from the order subtotal and shown at checkout before you pay. Orders at or above the threshold ship by express at no charge, so a multipack can be cheaper delivered than a smaller order with a delivery fee.
Transit times are the carrier's estimates counted from dispatch, which happens on business days; they are not guaranteed, and regional and remote addresses can take longer.
| Service | Charge | Carrier estimate |
|---|---|---|
| Standard delivery | $9.99 | Usually 2–6 business days after dispatch |
| Express delivery | $14.99 | Usually 1–3 business days after dispatch |
| Orders of $100 or more | Free express | Usually 1–3 business days after dispatch |
Your guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law
The Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, gives consumers guarantees that a seller cannot exclude: among them that goods are of acceptable quality, match their description, and that a major failure entitles you to a replacement or refund. A store's returns policy sits on top of those guarantees, never in place of them.
Our delivery and returns page states how we handle damaged, faulty, incorrect or missing items, and the separate change-of-mind policy for unopened, sealed items. Keep the packaging and labels until any problem is resolved.
