The Hospira vial is the manufacturer's presentation of Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP: 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a 30 mL multiple-dose plastic fliptop vial, stored at 20 to 25 °C. It is a labelled diluent for use under qualified direction, and it is not the same product as an own-label 30 mL vial.
Who publishes the label and what it says
The prescribing information for Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP on DailyMed is published by Hospira, Inc. of Lake Forest, Illinois, and lists Pfizer Healthcare India Private Limited among the establishments on the document. The label was last revised in August 2019.
It describes a sterile, nonpyrogenic preparation of water for injection containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol added as a bacteriostatic preservative, supplied in a multiple-dose container from which repeated withdrawals may be made, with a pH of 5.7 (4.5 to 7.0). The product is described as designed solely for parenteral use only after the addition of drugs that require dilution, with the manufacturer of the drug concerned to be consulted. In plain terms it is a diluent, not a medicine on its own, and the label is explicit that it must be made approximately isotonic before use. None of that is a matter for a buyer's guide; it is quoted here so that the product is identified correctly.
Two warnings stand out on the label: it is marked Rx only, a United States prescription-only statement, and it is not for use in neonates because of the benzyl alcohol content.
The 30 mL vial and how the manufacturer packs it
The 30 mL presentation is a multiple-dose plastic fliptop vial with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, listed under NDC 0409-3977-03 as a tray of 25. The same document lists a separate 20 mL fill in a 30 mL glass fliptop vial with 1.1% benzyl alcohol, which is a different presentation; the volume printed on the label is the one that counts. The storage statement is 20 to 25 °C, described as USP controlled room temperature.
The vial label carries the lot number and expiry date. Record both when an order arrives and keep the vial in its original labelled packaging so they stay legible.

Hospira 30 mL versus AUBACWATER 30 mL
Both vials hold 30 mL, both state 0.9% benzyl alcohol, and both are multiple-dose vials. The differences are the brand and label, the intended-use wording, the pack choices and the price. The AUBACWATER own-label vial is supplied for laboratory use and is not for injection, infusion or administration; the Hospira vial is the manufacturer's labelled diluent, to be used only as its label directs. Matching volume and preservative do not make them interchangeable.
