Delivery to New South Wales

Bacteriostatic water delivered to Sydney and New South Wales

The same AUBACWATER vials, packs and prices as everywhere in Australia, dispatched from Melbourne by Australia Post. What differs for Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Central Coast and the rest of New South Wales is how long the carrier takes, and that is what this page sets out.

From Melbourne, Australia Post publishes 3 to 6 business days for Parcel Post and 1 to 3 or more business days for Express Post on interstate routes such as New South Wales. Orders of $100 or more ship by express at no charge.

Delivery times to Sydney and New South Wales

These are Australia Post's published interstate ranges, counted in business days following the day of posting, so weekends do not count. They are the carrier's estimates, not a guarantee, and it says actual speed depends on where in the state a parcel is going and on congestion in its network.

Express Post next business day postcodes

Australia Post lists these postcodes in New South Wales on its next business day network. Eligibility depends on the postcode a parcel is posted from and the one it is going to, so you can check a pair in its online calculator. We do not promise next business day delivery.

  • Sydney: 1000-1920, 2000-2234, 2555-2574, 2740-2786

Dispatch

Order before 1 pm Melbourne time, Monday to Friday, for same-day dispatch. Orders placed from 1 pm go out the next weekday, so orders from 1 pm Friday and over the weekend are dispatched on Monday. Every parcel is tracked, and we email you when it is on its way. The delivery charge and the order total are shown at checkout before you pay.

About delivering to New South Wales

New South Wales is interstate from Melbourne, so Australia Post's interstate ranges apply here. Melbourne and Sydney are both on its Express Post next business day network, which runs between capital cities, so express is where the time saving shows up most on this route.

The Sydney postcodes on that network reach well beyond the CBD. The 2000 to 2234 block takes in the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West, the North Shore, the Northern Beaches, Parramatta, Liverpool and the Sutherland Shire. The 2555 to 2574 block adds Campbelltown and Camden in the south-west, and 2740 to 2786 adds Penrith and the Blue Mountains.

Newcastle (2300), Wollongong (2500) and the Central Coast around Gosford (2250) are close to Sydney but are not on the list. The same goes for Coffs Harbour (2450), Tamworth (2340), Albury (2640), Wagga Wagga (2650), Dubbo (2830) and Broken Hill (2880). For these addresses, read the table as the full range rather than expecting the short end of it.

Two parts of New South Wales appear under other cities on Australia Post's list. Queanbeyan (2620) sits in the Canberra block, and Tweed Heads and the Tweed Coast (2484 to 2490) sit in the Gold Coast block.

Questions from Sydney

Is the 1 pm cut-off the same time in Sydney?

Yes, for almost all of New South Wales. Sydney and Melbourne keep the same clock all year, including daylight saving, so 1 pm on the site's countdown is 1 pm for you. Broken Hill is the exception: it keeps South Australian time, so the cut-off lands at 12:30 pm there.

Will express reach my Sydney suburb the next business day?

It can if your postcode is in one of the listed Sydney blocks, but Australia Post describes the next business day network as depending on where a parcel is posted from and to, and on congestion in its network at the time. Treat next business day as the best case on this route. We do not promise it.

How long does delivery take to Newcastle or Wollongong?

Both are outside the next business day postcodes, so the general interstate ranges in the table are the honest guide: 3 to 6 business days by Parcel Post, and 1 to 3 or more by Express Post. Being only a short drive from Sydney does not change which list a postcode is on.

Does a New South Wales public holiday slow a parcel down?

It can, because Australia Post counts business days. Labour Day in New South Wales is the first Monday in October, while Victoria's is the second Monday in March, so a holiday at your end may not be a holiday where the parcel was posted. Allow an extra day if one falls while your order is in transit.

Returns

Unopened, sealed items can be returned within 14 days of delivery if you change your mind, and faulty, damaged or incorrect items are replaced or refunded under the Australian Consumer Law. Read the delivery and returns information.

AUBACWATER has no premises in Sydney: orders are placed online and delivered. Own-label bacteriostatic water is supplied for laboratory use and is not for injection, infusion or administration.
